By 1914 an outstation had been established at Eke and a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Joachim Correia, took permanent residence there in 1917. Local chiefs pionnered Christian evangelism.

Saturday, the 16th day of July, 2013 was indeed another joyful day to be remembered in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu as the Holy Ghost Cathedral arena witnessed unprecedented number of Christians who gathered to celebrate with the people of the Diocese on the ordination of twenty (20) Priests by the Chief Shepherd, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Callistus V.C. Onaga.

The amiable Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, His Excellency, Most Rev. Callistus V.C. Onaga on Monday, the 20th day of May, 2013 dedicated Omnium Sanctorum Chaplaincy of Godfrey Okoye University and Institute of Ecumenical Education, Enugu. After an opening prayer said by the Bishop with other Priests at the entrance of the Church building, Arch. Matthew Aniakor was called to present the key to the Chief Shepherd, Bishop C.V.C. Onaga.

We gather today once more in tears but with total submission to the Will of the Almighty to celebrate a memorial mass in honour of our dear son, brother, fellow priest, our priest and our chaplain Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Geoffrey AnayochukwuEneh (aka BabahEneh). We encourage each and every one of us with the words of Job, “the Lord gave, the Lord has taken back. Blessed be the name of the Lord! If we take happiness from God´s hand, must we not take sorrow too?(Jb.1:21; 2: 10b)”.
